Y Wybodaeth Ddiweddaraf gan CLlLC

  • Heddiw bu i Arweinwyr a Phrif Weithredwyr gyfarfod ar-lein gyda’r Gweinidog Tai a Llywodraeth Leol, Gweinidog Iechyd a Gwasanaethau Cymdeithasol, Gweinidog Addysg a’r Dirprwy Weinidog a Phrif Chwip, a Chomisiynwyr Heddlu a Throsedd a Prif Gwnstabliaid ledled Cymru. Roedd y cyfarfod yn canolbwyntio ar orfodaeth, ail-agor ysgolion a’r brechlyn.

Mesurau’r Coronafeirws yng Nghymru

  • Dywedodd y Prif Weinidog heddiw bod rhaid i bawb aros gartref i arbed bywydau a chadarnhaodd y bydd cyfyngiadau rhybudd lefel pedwar y coronafeirws yng Nghymru yn parhau.
  • Bydd cyfyngiadau’r cyfnod clo yn cael eu cryfhau mewn ardaloedd allweddol i atal y math newydd a mwyaf heintus o’r feirws rhag lledaenu o unigolion i’r llall yn y siopau a gweithleoedd hynny, a fydd yn parhau i aros ar agor.

Addysg, Plant a Phobl Ifanc

  • Mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi cadarnhau heddiw oni bai y bydd lleihad sylweddol o achosion coronafeirws cyn 29 Ionawr – dyddiad yr adolygiad tair wythnos nesaf o’r rheoliadau – bydd disgyblion/ myfyrwyr ysgolion a cholegau yn parhau i ddysgu ar-lein tan hanner tymor mis Chwefror.

Brechlyn

  • Mae deunyddiau ym manc ased brechlyn Llywodraeth Cymru yn sôn am y sefyllfa gyfredol o ran blaenoriaethu’r dosau cyntaf, a phrif neges y Llywodraeth i aros gartref.
  • Neges fideo ynghylch cyngor am y dosau gan Dr Richard Roberts, Pennaeth y Rhaglen Brechlyn a Chlefydau Ataliol o Iechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru – gofynnwyd i ni rannu gyda’n rhwydweithiau. Mae’n cynnwys sail wyddonol dros y penderfyniad o flaenoriaethu’r dosau cyntaf yn dilyn cyngor gan y Cyd-bwyllgor ar Imiwneiddio a Brechu, a fyddai’n dod â chysur i staff sydd yn ymwneud â hyn.  Mae ar gael ar safle micro brechlyn COVID Iechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru yma a gellir ei lawrlwytho yma.

Gwarchod

  • Mae pobl a oedd yn gwarchod yn flaenorol yng Nghymru wedi cael y llythyr hwn gan y Gweinidog Iechyd, yn nodi’r cyngor pellach gan fod Cymru mewn cyfnod clo rhybudd lefel pedwar.

  • Mae Gweinidog Tai a Llywodraeth Leol, Julie James wedi cadarnhau y bydd deddfwriaethau i wahardd gorchmynion troi allan tan 31 Mawrth 2021 yn dod i rym o ddydd Llun, 11 Ionawr – datganiad i’r wasg.

Teithio Rhyngwladol

  • Ddoe, cyhoeddodd y Prif Weinidog ddatganiad  am y Diwygiadau Diogelu Iechyd (Coronafeirws, Teithio Rhyngwladol) (Cymru) sy’n cynnwys diweddariad ar newidiadau i’r rhestr o wledydd a thiriogaethau sydd wedi’u heithrio rhag mesurau iechyd ar y ffin.

WLGA Update

  • Leaders and Chief Executives today met virtually with the Minister for Housing and Local Government, the Minister for Health and Social Services, the Minister for Education and the Deputy Minister and Chief Whip and Police and Crime Commissioners and Chief Constables from across Wales. The meeting focused on enforcement, re-opening schools and vaccines.
  • A special meeting of the Partnership Council for Wales took place on Wednesday, to discuss the implications of the ending of the EU transition period.

Coronavirus Measures in Wales

  • The First Minister today said everyone must stay at home to save lives as he confirmed the alert level four coronavirus restrictions in Wales will continue.
  • The lockdown restrictions will be strengthened in some key areas to prevent the new, highly-infectious strain of the virus spreading from person to person in those shops and workplaces which remain open.

Education, Children and Young People

  • The Welsh Government has today confirmed that unless there is a significant reduction in cases of coronavirus before 29 January – the date of the next three-week review of the regulations – school and college students will continue to learn online until the February half term.

Vaccine

  • There are materials in the Welsh Government vaccines asset bank covering the latest position on prioritising first doses, and the main Government message to stay at home.
  • Video message regarding advice on doses from Dr Richard Roberts, Head of Vaccine & Preventable Diseases Programme at Public Health Wales- we have been asked to share with our networks. It covers the scientific basis on which the decision on prioritising first doses was made following advice from the JCVI, which could bring some reassurance to staff concerned about this. Available on the PHW COVID vaccine microsite here and available for download here.

Test, Trace, Protect

  • The Latest Test, Trace, Protect figures have been published by the Welsh Government.
  • Latest testing data- here.   

Shielding

  • People who were previously shielding in Wales are receiving this letter from the Health Minister setting out further advice as Wales is at alert level four lockdown.
  • People who are extremely clinically vulnerable are advised not to go to work or attend school for the time being while cases of coronavirus are very high.

Housing

  • Legislation to further suspend evictions until 31st March 2021 will come into force from Monday 11 January the Minister for Housing and Local Government, Julie James has confirmed- Welsh Government press release.

International Travel

  • The Health Minister yesterday published a statement about the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (Wales) Amendments, which includes an update on changes to the list of countries and territories exempt from health measures at the border.
