Annwyl Gynghorydd,
Mae’r Partneriaid Meddygon Teulu ym Meddygfa Cei Newydd wedi hysbysu Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Hywel Dda o’u penderfyniad i roi’r gorau i’r gytundeb Gwasanaethau Meddygol Cyffredinol sydd ganddynt gyda’r Bwrdd Iechyd, o 31 Mawrth 2027. Rydym am eich sicrhau bod Meddygfa Cei Newydd yn parhau i fod ar agor fel arfer a bydd yr un tîm Practis yn parhau i ddarparu gwasanaethau tan 31 Mawrth 2027.
Mae gan y Bwrdd Iechyd ddyletswydd statudol i sicrhau bod cleifion yn parhau i gael mynediad at wasanaethau meddygon teulu ac mae wedi dechrau proses i ystyried sut y gellir darparu gwasanaethau yn y dyfodol. Y cam nesaf yw i Banel Practis Gwag ystyried yr opsiynau sydd ar gael a gwneud argymhelliad.

Dear Councillor,
The GP Partners at New Quay Surgery have informed Hywel Dda University Health Board of their decision to resign the General Medical Services contract they hold with the Health Board, with effect from 31 March 2027. We want to reassure you that New Quay Surgery remains open as normal and the same Practice team will continue to provide services until 31 March 2027.
The Health Board has a statutory duty to ensure patients continue to have access to GP services and has begun a process to consider how services can be provided in the future. The next step is for a Vacant Practice Panel to consider the available options and make a recommendation.
Online session
We are inviting local county, town and community councillors from New Quay and the surrounding area to attend an online session on Thursday 17 September, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. The session will provide a brief overview of what has happened and the process that follows, with an opportunity to ask questions and share your initial views.
